We built some big 511-based speakers for a friend. His wife thinks 511s would make nice flower-holders if you place them mouth up. These 511s are perfect for that duty.

always the optimist.
looks like they would need a trip to the speed shop for little hot tank action. and maybe a beadblast. are those bodies completely sealed? if not the inside would be mostly iron oxide. and they would have to have tangerine popped out to clean the waveguide(?) .

at the very least there's an end cap and couple of loading caps

Is there really a way to clean up internally rusted drivers with a "little hot tank action. and maybe a beadblast"? I have a pair of 290e's that I would love to bring back to life if it's possible.
